"Le Casette Sul Lago" agritourism is a typical rural building created from the renovation of an old mid-19th century farmhouse. It is surrounded by nature and overlooks Lake Bolsena.
The farmhouse was restored with the upmost respect for the original architectural features, using nenfro, a rock of volcanic origin that is traditionally used in this area, and we feel the building connects our guests to the past.
Nature is all around us; centuries-old woods and organic crops create a natural setting on Lake Bolsena.
Meetings with roe deer and squirrels bring the landscape to life.
Located a few hundred metres from the historic centre of Montefiascone, close to the the Via Francigena (the Franciscan Way) and Lake Bolsena, we are close to art and culture, being well connected to centres of historic and artistic interest in Tuscia.
Your days spent here will be pleasant and relaxing; those who love walking can wander into the surrounding countryside until they reach the lake shore. For those who instead want to experience the full wonder of the landscapes of Lake Bolsena and the villages of Tuscia, guided bike tours are the best choice.
For those who love good food and wine, there is the opportunity to taste the best organic produce from our own farm (with zero food miles), in the shade of ancient oaks, with panoramic views of the lake and the valley.
"Le Casette Sul Lago" consists of 9 apartments in the heart of the countryside and with a splendid view of Lake Bolsena. Our guests can relax in a large area for varied activities, from reading to children's games to cooking or painting classes, in a warm and welcoming environment that in summer continues in the open air on a natural terrace with a panoramic view of the lake. The external garden covers approx. 6,000 square metres of unspoilt terrain with various areas to discover; like a bench in the sun or the ancient caves where our grandparents took refuge during the bombardment of the great world wars.
